A Good Time

Most weeks I hang out with Anne and her twins, Rory and Cameryn. I met Anne when she and her hubby were living in Bay Ridge. Now, they live in Park Slope, but I manage to get up to see them at least once a week.

Rory and Cameryn are a few days older than Sam, so they've been great playmates.

Unfortunately, the brood is moving again, and this time it's not close enough via subway. They are moving to England.

Anne is from England, and her husband, Matt, is from Whales. They've been in the states for about seven years for work. Because of the work it takes to care for twins, they've decided to go back across the pond to be closer to their families.

I'm bummed, but I completely understand. I'd love to be back in the Midwest.

So, in a few weeks, we will be saying goodbye, with a promise to keep in touch and maybe even visit.

A Trip to Connecticut

We traveled to Connecticut over the weekend to see friends and attend Rhys Prindle's first birthday party. I worked with Rhys' mom, Michelle, at the Hartford Courant, and we were both pregnant at the same time.

We stayed with our good friends Jim and Chris, whose son, Reid, is a month younger than Sam. I used to work with Jim at the Courant as well.
