We spent Saturday preparing for Christmas. We took the boys to the annual Christmas festival at a neighboring Roman Catholic church to meet Santa, see a gigantic tree, do arts and crafts, see a model train and watch a Christmas pageant.
We then got in a our car (yes, we now have a car....it belonged to Dave's grandfather, who no longer needed it, as mentioned briefly in a previous post.) and got our first real Christmas tree. The boys were excited about both adventures, and they seem to really like the tree, which is decorated with colored lights (Dave refuses to do white lights ever) and various ornaments. So far, the tree has yet to fall over....but we do have two little ones and two cats who can't seem to keep their hands/paws off it!
